    Notice the different batch numbers, a similar rifle in a beautiful case, recently sold at Holts for £2730 including commission. This was one of two cased Webleys offered at £2k. I think the other might now be sold....

    Shame I know sweet fanny Adams about them ..

    I've recently started collecting a few boxed springers / nice examples from my youth .

    The guns I couldn't afford once upon a time .

    How the hell one determines values etc is beyond me, I suppose pay what your comfy with for really nice stuff and of course sellers will apply the same method ?

    Minefield ..

    Do folk use these old guns on a regular basis ? Or just collect and look at them ? While I wouldn't plough through woodland with my really nice springers , hell they've got to be used in the garden at least on a regular basis .

    A very nice set indeed Peter, with the 3 original barrels with the same se/nos stamped on them.

    I did,great fun ringing the bell target at a measured fifty eight yards with rhino
