    Pre-war BSA plated ?

Did they ever plate any of the old break barrel BSA's ? Just got a really rough one in, it had patches of plating, then someone had sprayed it silver to cover up the worn areas. After that it looked like someone had draw filed the whole thing to start again somehow. I managed to clean it up and cold blue. Made new piston seal unit as it only had a mangled screw in the top. Shoots well.

I've never come across a factory plated pre war BSA Baz and I have studied several hundred over time, if that helps.

    Kind regards,

That's what I thought, I have had quite a few through my hands and never seen one. Obviously a previous owner must have had it done.
