    Head torch recommendations please

Hi I am looking for a decent head torch to go running with, something lightweight and not to expensive, but still puts a lot of light out,
Thanks in advance for any recommendations
    Jim

I've got a little Silverpoint one, very nice, has red & white with two power levels in each, off the bay for about £20 iirc.

Takes 3x AAA, range of about 25m on low, 40m+ on high.

To see or be seen? If the former you need some proper output. One way to judge what you ought to expect is by the battery fitted. Bare minimum, 2xAA. The better ones may use 1x18650, this is what I have, you can shoot at night using this with flood and throw that reaches out to 70-100 yards, but this may be complete overkill for you - and the battery and its compartment, also strapped to your head, are not incredibly lightweight. But bear in mind - anything with one or two AAA batteries, you might see just beyond your toes.

I would suggest a chest mounted light for running. You can buy dedicated ones, they also have the flashing red light on your back.
Much more comfortable to run with and safer.

I use this - https://www.mountainwarehouse.com/ex...ce=connexityuk - dirt cheap and works brilliantly (haha). I think I'll buy another at this price.

I've got an xtar h2 commander, takes the little 16340 lithium or cr123 camera batteries, great range great battery life plenty of settings and fairly dinky. Not sure it's super cheap when you've bought a few lithium batteries and a charger but properly waterproof and very durable.

Suddenly, it seems compulsory to run in well lit streets with a powerful Cree torch strapped to your chest …...WHY????
