Walter Wells Fargo lever action

I purchased a lever action co2 rifle recently. I placed a 88g cylinder on it and the contents just spewed out the barrel, thinking it was me I placed anther cylinder in the rifle, same result. Am I doing something wrong,as I have now had over £40 worth of co2 fly out the barrel whilst trying propped freat ideas. What are your thoughts on what it is likely to be and how do I remedy said issues.

If it's out of the barrel then almost certainly the valve is leaking by...not took one of these apart before so can't advise further as to how easy they are to work on I'm afraid - try youtube maybe?
