Further to my post in reply to Sunbeam:

I have looked up the rules for the Middlesex League. They certainly award a trophy for the highest aggregate, but the basis on which the league is run is a bit ambiguous. I can see how Sunbeam gained the impression that this is an aggregate competition run on a cumulative basis. If that is the case then to describe it as a “league” is something of a misnomer when it is in fact an average based aggregate competition.

I was going to post something similar to your first comment. It's very confusing to call it a league when it's basically a 200-shot match

So what do we do if we've missed one round?
Is there any point in carrying on?
Do we just hope everybody else misses at least one round like we did?
The person that is running this match in our club says carry on, it's good practice.
But we practice all the time anyway.

This is why I was hoping to find something we can shoot and basically start over.
I'm totally new to comp shooting and have no idea how it all works.
This is why I thought the Middlesex was a good start as our first comp as our club runs in it.

We are still hoping to enter the MLP.

You can enter the MPL now and catch-up whenever you feel like it!

    Great competition - highly recommended
