Horsham Hawks (UKAHFT) Winter Series 2018/19 Β– Round One Results – 04.11.18

Very many thanks to everybody who turned out for the first round of the Horsham Hawks Winter Series today. You may recall that earlier in the year we conducted a brief survey, which resulted in our adoption of a UKAHFT format for this year's series (rather than a 'Hunter' course which had become the custom in the past).

We enjoyed a lovely, warm, autumnal day with just enough wind to make things interesting. And the rain held off too. What more could we ask for?

Some brilliant scores were achieved. Of particular note was Bob Pattenden's score of 57 with a 'springer'! Well done also to all the other top scorers in the other classes. It was also very good to have the opportunity to welcome some newcomers to the sport. Keep at it. It's great fun! For myself, it was just good to be 'back in the saddle' after a lay off of over 5 months due to injury.

Further rounds will be held on:-

    Round 2 - Sunday 2nd December 2018
    Round 3 - Sunday 17th February 2019
Round 4 - Sunday 31st March 2019 followed by tea and prizes.....

Please find below, results published in the usual format. Any errors are mine alone and if you would be kind enough to Β‘ping meΒ’ a note, I will make any necessary corrections.

See you all at round two, if not before.

    Very best wishes,

    Phil

Another great Hawkie shoot, always a pleasure to shoot there.
Tried out a hamster on my TX today, not a great fan of them on springers but it definitely helped today with the positionals.

Excellent morning, made all the better by seeing young Phil back behind a rifle.

Big thanks to all Hawkies for the start of this year's Winter series.

HUGE congrats to Bob for an absolutely stunning result with a boinger.

    Thanks Hawks

Hard setting a course and would like to thank those that set it.

Hind sight is an exact science caught out by the wind in the field. Took me down to my 55yrd on one target.
So sorry Louise’s gun failed and would not cock.
    Next time Louise.

    Regards to all Nigel
