About £8.80. Put it in a cardboard tube and bubblewrap it well.

It only cost €12 to get one from Germany

Opportunity is missed by most people, because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Had a Post Office signed for package delivered this morning, it was just put into the porch and nobody signed for it. So much for security.

The very recent 99s barrel that I sold was £3.95 from memory, that was Royal Mail second class signed for.

Remember as a gun part it will only be insured if sent as such, PF48.

I really wouldn't worry about paying for extra insurance as barrels are pretty robust.I pack them in cardboard tubes or plastic pipes so you would have to be incredibly unlucky to get one damaged.
I send barrels RM 2nd signed for. Sadly long ones have to go as a medium parcel (cost £6.05) but short ones are cheaper at £3.90. Ist class is dearer and may be a day quicker but it isn't guaranteed. My experience with 2nd recorded is 100% over many items over the years and unless I am using RMSD for valuable items like optical equipment, is my chosen method. That being said I do pack very carefully and touch wood have been fine so far.
