There were only 1000 1st. pattern and 1000 2nd. pattern made, so not many in the first place.
I've had three 1st. pattern, all sold, but only one 2nd. pattern, which I still have, and after talking to other collectors it would seem the 2nd. pattern is the more difficult one to find.
A while ago I started a thread on how many Webley Mk.1 rifles were still in existence, but don't intend to do one on the 1st. and 2nd. pattern Service rifles. I'll leave that to someone else.

l also found the 2nd pat hard to find over the spring clip pat, which seems strange has collectors over the years have said that the spring clip pat was prone to brakeages at the spring joint which you would have thought would condemend them to the scrap heap.There were only 1000 1st. pattern and 1000 2nd. pattern made, so not many in the first place.
