Eley Wasps.
Hi All
Im looking for some advice regarding a Webley & Scott Senior 1957 air pistol I have .22 and .177 barrels
Regarding the pellets what's best to buy for both barrels?
Thanks for any advice in advance

As stated above in .22 Wasps, but the 5.6mm blue tin version,

.In .177 you have much more choice...

Iv'e found RWS Hobby work well in both calibres and are reasonably cheap to buy.

Hi i picked some of the wasps, blue tin up today. Thanks for the replies

I stripped the gun tonight and main spring and piston are in very good order. Is it worth replacing the breach seal with a new one of these http://www.airgunspares.com/store/pr...Part-No.-1367/
Or would you not bother

When I suss out how to put pictures on I will pop some on of the gun.
With the barrel closed if you can feel some movement of it at the breech end if you try and wiggle it side to side that will mean the seal is no longer doing its job properly and does need replacing.Sometimes oiling the original leather seal so it expands will work if it has just dried out.
The rubber breech seal in the link is a good replacement, but will need some fitting ie judicious shaving off of some material to allow the barrel to close properly. It's a fiddly job,but they do seal well when done.
Theirs no movement at all. Just put the .177 barrel in and that shoots very well. Very impressed with build quality.

H&N FTT or RWS Hobbies tend to work better than Wasps in my experience, particularly post 2002 Wasps.

Another vote for Hobbys, fast and work in most guns......
