The most enjoyable cheap springer you have shot

Forget the big names like AA and HW.

I'm talking about Chinese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish guns etc that don't deserve to be as good as they are.

Not exactly tack drivers but with decent accuracy in either calibre, not necessarily running at more than 10.5 fpe, but enjoyable to use both at the range and in the garden. For somebody who has had all the best springers but now shoots only occasionally, when the mood takes him.

    Are there any?

Probably not, but I thought I would ask. I suppose I could include pump ups with springers because they are also self contained.

Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

I had a Hatsan 60, it was a bit twangy but still good fun sadly I never quite gelled with it the way I did with my HW77.
However I recently picked up an XS208 for £30 that was neglected by being stored in a cold damp environment but otherwise new and never shot.

it feels really good at the shoulder, so after a strip down and massive degrease, then a wee fettle Ive no doubt this will be a fun rifle to shoot.

Shite trigger but the Hatsan Edgar Breaker 900x in 22 bought for £69 from Countryway when they first came out

10.5 and super accurate with Superdomes

I have one on loan to a friend for pests with a tin bum guide in it, and it was easier to cock and shoot accurately with than a factory UK Webley Exocet -
(Which did upset me a bit, but there you go) ..

I had an Edgar Bros Hatsan 1000s Striker. One of those you don't how good it was until you sold it.

I was impressed with a Gamo GRT in .177. Very accurate but one hell of a crack when it went off.
