    Muzzle Loading Airgun?

Has anyone ever made a Muzzle Loader type of airgun?

I know it is pointless and silly, but generally the Human Race being what it is, if you can think it then someone will have tried it somewhere sometime....

Come on, who's been patching their balls and ramming them down the barrel?

perhaps, but the silence regarding his ram-rod is deafening
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

Myself and a colleague tried about 20 years ago to do a couple of .68 spring loaded dueling pistols......very interesting project, they should be around somewhere, not a great success though........

Bowket is quite fond of muzzleloaders and told me that after he had developed a valving system or whatever he used the working jig to make a usable antique style rifle or pistol that he could then play with. This is a barrel reservoir .25" muzzle loader taken from the JB fanpage on facebook. There are many photos of muzzle loading air rifle and pistols on the site. Most started life as working jigs to test out an idea.

They have been made for about 300 years or more, most antique air guns were muzzle loaders.

    Cheers,

    Lawrie.

Mr Amatruda!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE you are! I am so happy to see you're still vertical and breathing, Sir. Are you still fixing airguns?

PS - the replica of the Lewis and Clark Girandoni rifle that I shot last year was a breech-loading magazine-fed 22-shot, .46cal RB arm. No wonder Napoleon Bonaparte threatened to execute any soldier found shooting one at his boys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pqFyKh-rUI

The late, great Mick Dawes made a stunner. If I can borrow it from Shaun I’ll bring it to one of the bashes.
