    HW45 Bronze Star

Always been a big fan of the 45 and thinking about getting another one.

I’ve only ever owned the standard versions and having a mooch around at silver and black star versions I’ve seen they now do a Bronze Star version

    Has anyone purchased one yet?

I’m intrigued to know what the colour is like in the flesh as in some of the pics above it looks really nice but others less so

I like the finish, but I'm not a fan of the "Star" model's abbreviated grip frame and 'target' grip.

    Not bronze enough for me.

Hmmm....Not that keen on the bronze finish. Reminds me a bit of that 'flat earth' coating on some guns, which I've never liked. Not for me anyway....

    Me neither.

I think the “tacticool” FDE finish would go better with the basic 1911-style grip rather than the semi-target one.

Some different pics from this place:

Out of all the Star variations I think it’s my favourite, hope to see one in the flesh sometime.

I think the action colour would look better with different coloured grips. For instance if it were the standard model in bronze with the walnut grips. Even then I would not put a scope on it as the contrast with a black scope and mounts jars for me.

However this is a personal view/taste and by no means does it make me right and anyone who likes it wrong.
WANTED: Next weeks winning lottery numbers :-)
