    Giffard makers numbers

    Just bought a nice 6mm Giffard, It has a low serial number (in the 300's ). As far as I know, there was more than one maker involved in the manufacture of them, does anyone here know if there was any single series of numbers or did individual contractors use their own system.
    This one is marked, STE STEPHANOISE D'ARMES- St. ETIENNE.

    I've had a sniff round the forum and have found reference to three different makers.
    Rivolier & Fils.
    Societe Stepanoise D'Armes.
    Manufactuer Francaise D'Armes et Cycles.

    All, I think, in St.Etienne. Does anyone know of any others?
