    Steyr uk

Delivered two of my match guns to Steyr UK today as my LG-1 had expired on me, also my match (co2) version for a new
    breech seal.
As they are based just outside of York my partner and i plus dogs decided to spend the day in York at the xmas market.
However just having stopped for a comfort stop (dogs) A phone call from Harry (Steyr UK) both match rifles ready for collection.
How quick was that for service.
Smashing people Harry and his son who both sell and service steyr products.
So back in the garage tomorrow with two of my favourites ....
Then of course there is the Dianne 100 match, not forgetting the Walther lgm-1, and others

yes,its why I only bother with Steyr
They answer the phone, emails and turn up at shows
Other brands people tell me they import themselves as the agents are naff, so if back up is poor, why pay their premium?

    Hi Craig,

    You are right!

A lot of us enjoy shooting different manufacturers products (such as Morini, Pardini, Benelli, SAM, Walther) but wish that we could enjoy the same level of professional support that Steyr owners can enjoy here in the UK with their dedicated importer/distributor.

All of the top match air pistols and rifles work superbly well these days and their reliability is at a very high level - BUT - things do go wrong now and again and it is good to know that when they do there is a good importer with experienced and specialised gun smithing abilities that can offer the fast and efficient customer service that is needed to get the airgun fixed properly and back to the end-user as quickly as possible.

Compared to Steyr UK nobody even comes close and owners often rely on either a good independent gunsmith or themselves to make their own repairs - and even then the supply of the correct factory parts are seldom available "from stock" to help make the repair (or service) quickly.

Once an airgun is out of warranty we are blessed with some excellent independent gunsmiths here in the UK (and some of these are "factory trained" for some brands too) but what we don't have this same level of support when the airgun is new and under warranty.

This is one of the most often quoted reasons why many of the non Steyr manufacturers products are imported directly rather than through a part time dealer or one that is unable to offer the full support package.

Lets hope the manufacturers concerned take a good look at this situation and show some concern for the lack of good "service and support" that their "end-users" ( thats us!) currently have to endure and make the effort to improve their importer/dealer service network in the future.

If not, then Steyr's market share in the UK should (deservedly) continue to gain the support that they deserve to enjoy.
