Power loss at 10yds ??

I've got a little experiment lined up to do but just wondering the maths side of things. What sort of power loss is there at 10yds & 30yds. I only need to know a rough idea.

Is it possible to use Chairgun to work it out? Surely it depends on so many different factors: start velocity, pellet weight, calibre etc.

As said above, it will depend on pellet weight, shape, velocity, calibre etc. Five minutes with Chairgun will give you your answers.

As for your experiment you don't say what it is you are testing but just one word of advice. Make sure you eliminate or minimise all unwanted variables which can effect your results otherwise your tests will tell you nothing or give you the wrong answers.

I don't need to know anything exact just a rough average idea. No clue about chairgun, I'm still in the clockwork era & such things are a mystical sorcery I dare not to venture into. Would 12ftb drop down to say 6ftb at 10yds onto 3ftb at 30yds sort of rough idea. My experiment has nothing to do with speed or power calculations, I just want a rough idea of power at a distance for a rough distance guide to start shooting at.

10yds will drop by 1 ftlb ish, 30yds will drop by 3ftlbs ish.
