    Shortening a silencer?

Is it viable or possible to get a silencer shortened, I would like 50mm off a Parker Hale one or is it cheaper to buy a shorty?

    thanks

Any one with a lathe could do it for you. Cut it and rethread for the end cap.

Modify it to slide 50mm further up the barrel , will look loads better.

I stripped out my long air arms silencer removed some of the material inside ,a bit of a repack then slid the silencer further on my a/a200 barrel .it looks great and is a lot shorter, as I wanted it that way too keep the rifle short. the modified packing still left it shooting quiet. I have some pics of it but not sure how too put them on here or even if I can without and outside package.

I suspect the cost to do will be close to the cost of a short one anyway
