    Clubs between Gloucester and Bristol?

    Hi,

I am currently a full member of a club in South Wales, but I'd like a few more options so I can have other options for shooting.

I'd like to know if there are any clubs between Gloucester and Bristol as these are the two extremes that I could regally travel to being as I live in the middle of these two places.

I'm looking for a well covered 22LR 50m range, indoor 10m air rifle/pistol range and and an option for black powder.

I've googled but found nothing and I find asking people that attend these places is a better way of finding out as they will know exactly how the club works.

    Thanks,
    Rob.

Glevum has an outdoor 50m range with covered firing points and an indoor 30m range where you can set up targets at whatever range in between that you want. I used to belong to Glevum before moving to Dorset three years ago. It can be a bit hard to find first time, but is accessible from M5 Jct 12 via back roads, or from within Gloucester itself. You can actually see the club building from the M5 just north of the new services on the east of the road.

Admittedly a few years since I attended Glevum but they did cater for 10m air rifle and pistol as well as the "iron plate" BB shooting disciplines. A well built range, good car parking etc.
BSA Super10 addict, other BSA's inc GoldstarSE, Original (Diana) Mod75's, Diana Mod5, HW80's, SAM 11K... All sorted!

Glevum has the use of (along with other clubs) an outdoor 50m range, which is operated by the Gloucestershire Association of Smallbore Rifle & Pistol Clubs www.gasrpc.uk

Glevum has lovely indoor facilities of its own, including (I believe) indoor black powder so well worth a look. You can use black powder on the GA range as well now (subject to calibre/MV maxima). You might also look at East Bristol (indoor 25 yard and 10m ranges). Sadly, other clubs in the area that you're looking at are losing their ranges......

I know only of Torfaen Small Bore and Tondu in Wales.
But these clubs have not been offered on this thread so far.
