What’s on your airgun agenda for 2019?

Mine is probably participating in my first high end gun auction and probably finding out I’m a small time player. Lol

It might not be 'collectable' as such, but I would like to get hold of a Baikal MP-651k. I just need to sell a few of my lesser used pistols first!

I am going to take up 20 yard target pistol shooting; I can't easily get to a 'proper' 10m range now...

Get the hang of shooting my "Senior".

Fix the valve on my Zastava GP45 and finally get it working properly.

    Melbourne airgun fair!
Too many guns, or not enough time?

Once I have managed to get the first gun in the house then I would love to get my first air rifle back again, I know it has come in for a lot of stick on here as I have searched - it was a Webley Hawk MKII... Seeing what a panning it has had on here I want to see how I managed to hit so many rabbits with it when I was a kid. I stopped counting when I got to 200. I did live on a rabbit infested farm though but with my rose-tinted specs I swear I hit more than I missed once I had my eye in. Not sure how collectable it is but have seen them about for sub £100 so will be seeing what comes up towards the end of the year.

How is a 'high end gun auction' defined and for what will you be searching?

May I enquire as to the size of your collection presently?!

    Happy New Year!

I'd love to attend one of the Kempton Fairs.

And, one day, pick up a nice LJ/BSA, maybe the Light Pattern.

High end auction is difficult to define but you know it when you see it. I could be after a dozen guns all of which will go for probably more than they are worth.

    Collection is 30+

30+ is impressive although I have heard of some on this forum, remarkably with over 50 and I gather one or two with over 100. As I recall from previous posts, you are also a keen collector of Crossmans. I think I could spend a day happily viewing your collection - albeit you are in USA, alas!

Is there anything, in particular, you are seeking?

My collection is rather more humble - at eight, but all good working examples of top class springers. But I am a firm believer in using them and I keep a file on each rifle, the pellets they prefer and grouping sizes at various distances per the targets. This keeps me busy, when conditions and time permit.

I have just bought a first class BSA Standard, which I spotted at Kempton. I phoned the seller a few days later to see if he had sold it. Remarkably, he had not so I bought it after second thoughts and it is the best Standard I have seen anywhere.

Do you find you are able to shoot all of those in your collection?

    Rgds
