Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level & then beat you with experience.

Gotta be worth a try but I’m happy enough with the current set up if I can’t improve it slightly.
A good idea Pauly the sliding 77 R/S block. You can slip in and / or glue a selected small washer over the rearsight u-notch and thereby achieve a tidy aperture or peep sight which can really improve shooting on opens by virtue of the longer sight base and the instinctive centering by the eye of the F/S in the peep hole.

Would that make our Pauly a little peeping Tom, Ted?

Thanks for that Ted, I never knew about the ‘trick’ with the washer but I fully get how that could bring about an improvement.

How about a nice little HW30S? That way you could kill two birds with the same stone......a nice little open sighted springer AND membership to the HW30 Owner's Club.
And do you have a little 30 your parting with tony

Out of interest mate, how many pumps/what sort of pressure would you put into a HW90 gas ram assuming it’s ‘empty’ ?? An air tank would be too much I would think ?

Without doing a search im not 100% sure mate. Its not a huge ammount of pressure though. I suspect it would be a bit dicey using a bottle having said that ive never actually tried it.

The Slim Jim hand pumps I’ve seen wouldn’t be giving much pressure output I reckon so probably only 4 or 5 pumps on that ?? So, a stirrup pump.... maybe only a stroke or two ??
