What's the new guide like?

Pretty much the same as Nicks kits. Delrin guide and top hat. The last one I made I built the preload into the guide and it was running a touch warm as things bedded in so I made a new guide with less preload and a nice snug fit into the spring

Its great fun too. A guy from a local shooting club brought round an ancient, thought to be BSA to show me and I made an adapter for the piston enabling a Weihrauch seal to be fitted.

Yep, there was indeed more blatting some good and some bad

We're lucky to have plenty of range space and facilities for unhindered practice, and the only downside is that it can get a little bit chilly sometimes ….. however we do have a couple of hot air blowy heater jobbies that can be used to kind of warm up my firing point area - as long as my trigger finger stays reasonably warm, I'm OK

The last couple of nights I've heard foxes nearby calling, with quite a distinctive and high pitched bark. The club is right next to the railway embankment, and we've got fields nearby where I've seen the foxes mooching about in the evenings, and quite blatantly too , while they're hunting for the rabbits.

Anyhow, here's an after work BOING, and up we go
