Can you recommend a competent stock restorer please?

    Hi all,

As above looking for someone competent and up to refurbishing a John Welham stock in a sympathetic manner, any suggestions please?

    Many thanks.

You could try nath92 on the AGF, he has a very good reputation.

Second that, he's done two for me, one in black and one in red, very good work and reasonable price to.

I second Paul Edwards at Gunrestoration in Wales, he does some spectacular work...

Indeed he is, he has done some good work for me, too. Nathan is also a member here on the good old BBS, but I can't for the life of me remember his BBS user name (may even be the same? I'll have a mini investigation and get back) ...

Investigation complete. Seems it is, so send a message or email to BBS member nath92 and see how you get on. Memory tells me he isn't a prolific internet user, however, so best allow him a good few days to get back to you? Good luck and keep us all posted.

Wow thanks for all the replies. This is exactly why I love the BBS. I will put up some pics in here when the stock is back to it's former glory.

Seconded, James did some checkering on a stock for me, excellent work, I still follow him on FB and some of the stocks he does are stunning.

He does frequent the AGF a lot more than here as uses it to advertise his work. I had a fwb sport stock refurbished by him and at £65 it was (and still is) a great job.

Without a doubt Nathan is your man. He has done nine or ten for me now.
