I had a great 80 in 25, & tried the red dot farce, useless in my opinion over 10m, i got a hawke airmax in 2-7x32, it really suited the rifle.

I voted for a compact scope but, I imagine that lightweight .25 springer with open sights would be a lot of fun - especially if it could be an HW30 at about 11ftlb.

    All of the above.

I don't know why you would treat a .25 any different to another caliber, yes sub 12 it could be a bit loopy on trajectory, but then with a decent scope and good practice their as accurate as any other caliber.
Personally I use similar scopes on all my rifles 4x12x40 which suits my shooting style.

Exactly, a little 1.5-5 or 2-7 scope suits them but so does iron sights

I bought robs .25 80 and fitted a whitetail classic 1.5x 5x 20. Perfect if not using open sights.
