The new Gamo Swarm Magnum is 49.2” but I’ve not seen one in person.

I had an 80s '77 and thought 'bloody hell, this thing is long' but, I never measured it.

    All of the above.

If were talking long guns it should be without moderators.

Im thinking some of the vintage guns like the Lincoln Jeffries must right up there with the longest of them

I think the big BSAs are around 45.5”. The ultra-rare military pattern has an extra 2” or so of barrel.

Thats not too bad actually, I suppose thats what happens when you're looking at pics of them with no scale reference or no actual knowledge of the weapon
I always thought they were much much longer

    Thanks Geezer

    Cheers. .

I don’t claim expertise on those. There may be some that are longer, maybe the early ones (?), but in general they are thin things, so can look a bit longer than they actually are.

To use a firearms analogy, a Luger (thin tapering exposed barrel, some mechanism behind the grip) is about half an inch longer than a 1911 (thick blocky full-length slide, no mechanism behind the grip), but I think most people would say the Luger is shorter or the same length.

Just measured my Original Mod. 50 - it comes in at 44.5".
Not the longest mentioned here but undeniably long in a Mauser-like way.

Just need a bayonet for it now...
