Gosh - SIG MCX Virtus PCP

    https://business.facebook.com/Highla...type=3&theater

.22” calibre “semi auto” PCP. Close replica of the real 5.56/300BU weapon (I.e. looks like a tricked-out AR15, as carried by CO19 etc). M/v “up to 700 FPS” - probably with plastic or alloy pellets, but even then potentially a tad over 12 ft-lbs in US market form. The fact that HO are posting about it suggests an aspiration to sell a U.K. version.

A nice plinker with possible ratting potential?

Or just the thing for some cretin to get arrested with after badly wounding someone, promoting a campaign to ban this “military-style high-powered assault rifle” that can fire 30 shots in less than 10 seconds?

Discuss, as they say at posh universities.

It's vile, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was to retail at £400. Personally if I was in the market for a military style rifle, I'd go for the Umarex M4 or an old Sussex Armoury model. I think the Walt magnet comment is probably spot on.

    +1

I am sure they will bring out a Super Walt Special in Flat Dark Earth finish.

Ideally with a matching set of EO Tech, white light, IR illuminator, IR laser, folding NV unit, suppressor, and Magpul style fore-end. And a ridiculously complicated multi-piece side-mounted sling.

Interesting....this will be why they binned the .22 CO2 powered version that looked so promising. There was some youtube footage of a test example that had my interest, but then the .22 version faded away just leaving the .177 which had the output of a CO2 pistol. Still a nice little plinker...but not the gun it was billed as initially. Can't say I'm tempted now, really

Looks like it will be good for the rafters and nv crowd.. all your toys mounted up on the rail, scope could be mounted right up at the barrel end if you wanted. Batteries are all tucked away nearly to the side or underneath.. I can actually see it becoming a pretty popular night time pesting tool.

    Love the Walt comments😂😂

There’ll be some on the Highland Outdoors stand at the shooting show.

The RRP will be interesting. I suspect a previous posters suggestion of £400 will turn out to be lower than it turns out to be.

Any news on if it is actually over 3 ftlb? Because the CO2 version isnt. As for the walt comments, my current ratting gun is a Webley En4cer. I am already far too deep into that hole to care.....

Pffft! I fitted a laser to my Evanix Rex. I did it via a double raised 45° weaver rail.

Oh yeah, that's how I roll now.....
