Is this the back pack style tactical case as I was just going to order one.
ATB John
Anyone else have one of these?
I bought one a little while ago and i really wish i hadn't
I have spent more time trying to repair it and sew the pigging thing up than i have had the rifle in it.
Spoke to the online shop and they wouldn't help with out proof of and i spoke to a Mr Martineau via an email and short and sweet saying basically 'TUFF'
Have i just a bad case or is it a bad style of case. i bought if so when i put a bi-pod on that there would be room in the case for it. before i have even put the pod on the case i have had to sew the zip back in and then yesterday even more zip went.
Sorry, i think I'm venting steam at the moment as BSA products haven't done what their built for.
Rant over...

Hi All.
My Pal and I have both had BSA cases, Both had problems,
would not have them again. Pay a bit more get something better.
i have one the same but its not that bad yet but getting there waste of money mine came with a rifle i bought so not complaning
Mine went exactly the same way after very little use, was very disappointed. I went for a JSR one second time around and it's far superior.

Mine went the same way and I returned it to the shop and replaced it with a Logun one, much better.

I have one of the full sized oblong and one carbine (shaped). I have had no problems whatsoever with the shaped one in the two years I've had it. However, the oblong one has had the zip issue. It's a damned good job my mother is a dab hand with a needle and thread! I would concede to being partly responsible for the problem. I used to keep a full blown FT rig in mine (hamster, huge scope et al) if there is not much room left in there and the zips are under tension it's probably going to happen. I've since had a swap round and put a smaller rig in the bag concerned and not had a problem since.

Well it looks like they do have a problem and will not address it.
Oh well looks like i will change the way i do things.
If you had not had it long and not abused it and the zip was faulty or the stitching came undone then the person who you bought it from should have replaced it or refunded your money. Comes under the Sale of Goods Act as not being fit for purpose. It makes no difference whether or not the manufacturer gives a guarantee ... you have specific consumer rights. Unfortunately, as you have since tried to effect repairs yourself you may have forfeited various rights.
I did buy a fairly cheap bag that the zip failed on after about a week ... the shop did not quibble when I politely pointed out the problem. Indeed they apologised and offered me a replacement immediately but I decided to pay a little more for a better quality one. I will continue to use the shop as they have always proved very helpful.
Cheers, Phil
We have had a fair few of these (both the back pack and the case mat) with the stitching and, to a lesser extent, zips pulling apart at work. I tend to find that the problem is due to cases being thickly padded combined with the sort of rifle/scope combinations that we see nowadays. But what is the point in having a less padded case when you want that level of protection in the first place? They are a nice enough design but are let down by the quality.

I had one and it started coming apart at the seams after about 3 months. I sent it back and got a new one from BSA, which again went within 3 months.
After this I asked for a refund, which I got, but I did have the original receipt.
I've now got the JSR Tactical, (see my review ), and it's been absolutely stonking.
The difference in the bags is that the BSA has just stitched the sides together, (cheap), whereas the JSR has 3" fillet sown in to reduce the stresses, (quality).
The JSR is a far, far better quality bag in every way in both design and manufacture.

There are 10 types of people, those that understand binary, and those that don't.
I've got several, but by far the best economy one I've bought is JSR's Homeland Security case. Good stuff, and doubles as a shooting matt as well.
War does not determine who is right; War determines who is left.
the fold out mat style was what drew me to the BSA on but i think i will go look at the JSR case now.
Reason i couldnt take it back to the shop is because it was and online shop and i couldnt find receipt, I did try the first time but they didnt want to know then so i had to put needle to cloth after. now the other side has gone i know its not just a slip with the machine when the binder was put on.
this will teach me to not use my local shop i guess. but it dose really look as thought it is not just the place i bought it from but more like the company as to many have had the same problem, this means that BSA know they have a fault but choose not to help there customers and just say hard luck. still thats the way some companies wish to work then so be it.
not going to rant no more just wanted to know if there was more than just the one case.
kind regards
Phil
