Hi all ….
whos got a good memory ?

Some many years ago … I remember a product that sat on the front of the scope with little arrows at 3 6 9 & 12 oclock

I was chatting about it the other eve in the range to another interested shooter… I tried to find something / anything about it on the net at the time … but not successful.

It was designed to help you "centre" your eye on your scope ...instead of looking through at an angle …

I had it in my mind it was an Accu ………… something ??


Anyone remember these ...are they still about ??
Only things similar I find are for bow and arrows .

I don't want to look like my memory is going and I am starting to imagine things LOL

I remember something like that. It was like a butler creek cover for the eyepiece and had yellow pointers supposedly to center your eye on the scope. I seem to recall a bit of a debate amongst the local HFT crowd as to the legality of them. Oh how us normal folk laughed........

Accuview keeps springing to mind but I cant quite remember.

From what I remember they were not allowed in HFT. Part of the hype / advertising blurb was that the military were using them. Could be about 12 years ago?

They are good and they are out there.. They make your brain automatically centre your eye with the scope to minimize parralex error, and the just seem to help bring the gun up to your eye faster... not that I've ever needed that 😂

Maybe that is why you hear very little about them now.

Thinking more about them, I have dim recollections that I might have met the inventor or distributor at a Shooting show or game fair??

Were held with an airgun magazine for a free cover giveaway but there wasn't enough money to make it
Viable so it didn't happen.That device was tested
At Brecon sniper training centre.

Yes, once you line up the arrows with your crosshairs, that's it set.
When you look through and your eye is not dead centre, you can instantly see that the edges of the crosshairs and the arrows don't like up.
There's also a kind of peep sight effect, meaning that you naturally centre the target.

That reminds me, I have a few tucked up somewhere safe in a safe place BUT !!!!!!

The later ones with a modified catch for the flip up are quite a well made lens cover. I have had two in use for several years, although I cut the little arrows off as they don't seem to make any practical difference in aiming the gun.
