I have just sold my last "black" airgun. When I was younger I liked military looking stuff, but now I seem to gravitate towards blued steel and walnut, and I seem to be a sucker for anything with a lot of figuring in the wood. Am I just becoming an old git? I have been looking at the limited edition walnut stocked BSA Ultras that came out and some are truly beautiful but they seem to be massively variable in the quality of the wood. What is the best wood you can get on a production air rifle just now and does any manufacturer still select or offer an upgrade option?
