    Rules

you will find different rules for governing bodies/leagues.
at our club we shoot UKBR22 which allows rear bags, and Midlands Postal which also allow rear bags. NSRA rules do not allow rear bags.
When I looked at the rules for this new organisation their rules stated no electronic triggers, or words to that effect, which would rule out some daystate guns. Also watch stock clarification rules for different organisations. Its a bit of a minefield.

Another add on question to this thread, does anyone use diopter sights for this, or is it only scopes.

You could use diopter sights for bench rest but that could put you at a disadvantage compared with using a high powered scope. However I would think that they may well give better results than using a low power scope.

Everyone at our club uses 'scopes, both on .22LR and air rifles.

There Seems to be some confusion about Rules and types of guns & weight that can be used in benchrest shooting, And yes there are lots of variations out there of the original WRABF Rules that can be shot.
As benchrest uk is the only representative for the WRABF in the uk
you can find information about Rules and types of guns & weight that can be used in benchrest at

Graham ,do make some effort to get it right. the WRABF rules are based on rules set by the UKBR22 and as used in Italy for the first World Championships Milan 2008.

Nick's statement is a bit fudged,UK benchrest only represent the WRABF competitions ,Their World Championships, the European Championships/World Cup.

These comps are spread over a 4 year period. All other benchrest competition are run by various associations .

Get on with your own thing and stop making daft statements about your association ,you have enough work to do getting it up and running.

your certainly no great help to the shooting sports. John F
