    HW85 issues

    I recently purchased a mk1 HW85 with a 95k barrel on .
It has been fantastically reblued by Paul Chell .
The issues I have is that the raised scope rail seems to taper back towards the stock . I seem to have sorted this by fitting a one piece mount .
However , when re-zeroing , the stock screws at the front come loose . When tightened the rifle becomes harder to zero and the stock marks the bluing as the rifle is cocked .
What's the best way to sort this out ?
A little sanding inside the stock with paper thin washers to keep the action away , or is there a better way ?
Or is it just me trying to hard to shoot a springer after years of PCP's ?
