Webley could be early 1950's, don't know what letter U is for,
BSA could be 1946-49

The A prefix was used from June 1966 to November 1969. It was then , bizarrely, reused from November 1969 until August 1972.
“abellringer” has access to more detailed info, and hopefully will be along to share it.
As here:

PS. I believe a B prefix on a Cadet indicates an early 1946-47 one.

Thank you gentlemen for your replies. According to abellringer in your link the letter "U" may refer to the builder's initial? I didn't realise the Cadet was quite that old, I was thinking early 1960's.

A3533 manufacture date was week ending 10/10/1970 according to webley airgun book .
