    Walther Lgu cocking lever rivets

    Hello

My Lgu needed it's cocking lever rivets tightening up. I managed to do it easily enough but it made me think, has anyone managed to replace these rivets with something neater like a socket bolt?

Maybe not a complete answer but I think I remember someone selling such an item to the AA or HW rifles some time ago and that the same part fitted both sets of rifles.
Maybe a Google of such an item or even a search on here may give a result.
    Good luck

couple of ball bearings on the rivet heads & nipped up in a vice worked for me. You need 3 hands or the bearings taped in place

I did make an ally underlever with a magnetic catch a while back for someone , for that I made up a sort of top hat shaped nut , with abutton headed allen screw that worked well. A shame as I don't have pictures

My HW 77 has a bit of side to side play in the cocking lever, does the same fix apply?

I don't own a 77, but if it's a similar set up I imagine it would work. Tightening them up on the Lgu made a world of difference to mine

The LGU lever rivets don't look as robust as the 77's and look like that they would come loose again, would it be better to get a custom lever?
