    HW95 cocking lever pin removal.

    Is this a drill the head off and pin punch out? or just pin punch out?

    Punch it out then get a qr cocking pin to replace it, i now have these on all my break barrels.

    The last one i did was really stubborn, i found it easier to take a Dremel bit to it and remove some of the metal before driving it out.

    Hello to All,

    IIRC, Mr. Pope used to recommend using a centre-punch first to get the pin started (from right hand side), then a pin-punch to finish.

    That's very interesting Russ, I'd never considered there was a correct direction to drift the pin out. That implies HW make them , or at least install them, with one end weaker than the other. Have others found the same?
