Out of interest what bitsa rifles do members own. I went to change an old rough 80 of mine and the end product was -

    Rekord trigger.
    Venom Set back blade
Button piston / VMach spring / Guide / Top Hat / Seal
    Airmasters Tryolean stock
Webley Longbow barrel. 13 inch. 22 cal
    Theoben 7 inch Silencer
    Brass trigger guard.

Sounds like a very nice rifle bud. I was expecting some kind of frankenstein but that sounds like a seriously sweet bit of kit. Are you bringing it to the boinger bash?

I never knew Webley Longbow barrels fitted HW's?

A lot of my BSA's are now mixed up with swapped stocks and barrels but I do have a couple of standard unmolested rifles.

I did just pull out a Mercury that's got a Mercury S cylinder (not that it's any different than a standard cylinder apart from the letter S etched on it), Supersport barrel and standard beech stock.

Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in

I certainly can't match your list of contributors to your 80 Paul but here's my own 1984 HW80 make up:-
    Custom stock walnut sporter stock
Barrel shortened to 14 inches many moons ago
A now dated and slightly ugly Ox Neutraliser moderator (works reasonably well though).
TR Robb stainless large button safety.
Cylinder honed and port reamed by the late Gerald Cardew.
    Theoben Zephyr piston head washer.
Robb bronze rear piston bearing surface (old spec) now buttoned of late.
    Cut down Titan HW35 spring
    Bowkett nylatron rear spring guide.
    Robb trigger shoe.

It's been this spec for more years than I car to recall and is a lovely hunting outfit with excellent accuracy.

I do like the sound of both of these 80’s, lads.
I hope they’ll be coming to the bash...

I've just finished another Hw80 running the trigger you sold me all made up from my spares box (a few new bits) and a cerakoted action and barrel.....i did put up in the swaps section as I'm in need of a stock (it has one) as I have a Gary cane Cz452 hmr in walnut looking for a customstock of some sort before I start modifying the hw97 stock I have sitting in front of me

I've a HW80 that has a left handed walnut stock (Was told it resembles a Venom Vantage stock), It has a .177" cal HW85 barrel and a strange, Straight trigger blade fitted, Never even noticed the blade until i'd owned the gun for a few years!!

Can't remember what's inside, I did have to strip it when I got it as it had an Ox spring fitted by the previous owner that was miles too long, It vibrated badly and felt like I was getting an electric shock through my hands I cut off the preload and flattened the last coil, Ground in flat and refinished it, It's beautiful now!!

    Forgot about the Ospracker!!

I bought an Osprey that had been dropped on the barrel which duly dropped orf!! Had to remove the threaded breech end with an easy out and had a spare tracker cylinder/action so fitted the shorty barrel!!

    The left hand one..
