Any .22 or .25s out there

Why there are so many .177s or Ball bearing types of blowback/ multi shot replicas are out there

but barely any larger lead pellet caliber pistols available? CO2 should be fine with .22 and .25

I have an HW45 and a shortened and generally mucked about with Crosman 2240 in .22 as well as a couple of .22 TAC pistols. Using an air pistol is a feeble excuse for admiring another mans sausage!

I am happy with my pp700sa but those multi shot repeaters would be fun in larger than .177 caliber

I should have said replicas but not bb or .177 but larger caliber. Is there some technical issue with co2 or why is no market for these?

It is easier to make power in .22 and .25 so shoutcount should be no issue. Maybe something to do with the law? No idea but this is not a power problem for sure.

    Why you can’t get a glock 17 replica in .22 or 25 in CO2? I can’t see the little .177 hole

Built a .25 crosman based on the 2240 a good while back, just because one didn't exist to purchase and enjoyed the tinkering...

We are restricted over here regards power output but there are some custom gunsmiths in the USA for instance that push the boat out in larger calibre

I wish there was a sub 6fpe pellet repeater in CO2, .22 or .25 for those with impaired vision
    Or something for darts.

That would be the Crosman 600.

Yes I looked at the 600, yes something like that....
I am not a Crosman fan is Crosman got stuck in the Stone Age? Not bad but something newer ... seems a bit minimalistic

Even if a 1911 replica shot lead balls in .22 or probably pellets better for accuracy

The market doesn’t exist enough to make it a good idea.

    History.

Back in the 50s and 60s, even into the 70s, Crosman pushed .22” across all models, including the Hahn 45 (Colt 1873 replica) and 38C and 38T (S&W 15, 17) and Model 1. Then shifted to .177”.

.20” aftermarket conversions were offered for things like the CP88 in the 90s. They didn’t sell well.

Daisy offered a Beretta 92 lookalike (disguised revolver, like a CP88 etc) briefly from 1999. The 622X. Six shots, .22” and over 4 ft-lbs. I really want one, for obvious reasons. But it didn’t sell and was discontinued.

Basically the pellet replica market wants the cheap pellets of .177”.

BB pistols offer the alleged realism of cycling slides (“blowback”) and vaguely realistic magazines. If you like that. I find it a bit tedious, myself.

So I agree with you. Something like a restyled modern Crosman 600 or a re-introduced (preferably higher quality) Daisy 622X would be awesome. But the vast majority of replica air pistol buyers want either a “realistic” BB gun, or a plinker using the cheapest pellets - which means .177”.
