Probably the earliest known? I bought a 700 several years ago to complete my Hy-score collection and though it is interesting but I really think the 800 is a better pistol. The fake barrel on the 700 is just odd really, it was far more interesting when they later took the barrel off and made the Sportster? One of my favorites. The 800 is sleeker uses the longer barrel. Only downside is the poor rear sight.

With much of my collecting I find that the first version is the best then it’s downhill, on this I don’t think that’s true?

Just a note about the early HyScore (700). The first HyScore was priced higher than the later series and, even in HyScore advertising (Sporting Goods Dealer,) was referred to as the "Rolls Royce" of airguns. So....

Think they made the barrel shape to look like a P08 Luger.
