    Looking after laminate stock

I was wondering can you wax a laminate stock or do you oil them.
    Cheers

What type of finish are you looking for?

The one that looks the best or which one lasts the most in the rain?

You can't oil them, as far as I know, laminate stocks are all finished with a lacquer/varnish. All the ones I have seen have been.

As far as I know the ply used for gunstocks is laminated with resin to increase its stability, therefore it's only finishing option is a laquer coat. You can polish/buff the finish with a wax but for durability it's best left with a good laquer.
