    Re-Anodising a new alloy stock?

    Hi,

I'm about to receive a new rifle with an alloy stock finished in silver.

Could this stock be re-anodised in a different colour?
If yes, does anybody know the best company to do the work, it's not a cheap rifle, so want a good job!

    Thanks.

Thanks Mick, are there any other high tec finishes that can be applied to anodised alloy to bling it up a bit? I'm looking for a nice electric blue.

Sorry, after the thread over in nag, I just roared with laughter when I read this!...

Edit: are there any engineering or plating firms near you that could do anodising?...might be worth a google to see as there may be someone on a industrial estate near you that could help you out.

    Oh yes, LSD, hilarious!

I don't trust small Welsh business having used them over the years. Most have no care about the work they do, it's all about getting the money and over selling their skills.

I'll have a chat with LSD

Maybe I could ask that Grom rider, he gets about !!!

I'm used to it now, that's why I changed my name from Sunbeam to Mr Chip Shoulder!
People can now take pop's at me with a degree of legitimacy because of my name.
My name is a type of shield.

I'm not pissed off with you, I just take a view and move on

Yes the colour can be changed. The metal can be anodised, dyed and then fixed.
Its all in the preparation as usual.

I believe the old colour has to be removed or it may show through, unless you finish it in black.
