    2. The gun is fine, they all do that. Sorry, that’s what they are like.
    3. The gun is fine but try different ammo.
    4. The gun and ammo are fine but that’s just how you shoot it. Maybe you aren’t a great pistol shot. Maybe you are, but it just doesn’t suit or fit you. That happens, sometimes.
    5. A combination of some of the above.

Personally, I’d go for 1 or 2. That looks pretty poor. But have you tried careful slow fire from a rest to eliminate number 4? Or different ammo (number 3)?
No I haven't tried it from a rest but I will give it a go.

Shooting from a rest gave the same results initially, then after emptying a couple of magazines the slide started jamming open.

I stripped the gun and lubricated the slide and there was an instant improvement.

This target was shot from a rest at 7 metres aiming at the bull:

    Good enough for plinking!

You failed to mention that the target is six feet in diameter
The Mayor: Intent? How did you establish that?
Harry Callahan: When a man is chasing a woman through an alley with a butcher’s knife and a hard-on, I figure he isn’t out collecting for the Red Cross.
