Not sure many people know the mechanics of this gun. It’s Hillers book that explains it best that’s where I got the patent drawings, though they are on the Vintage Airgun Gallery as well. Hiller says the mechanism is similar to a old Daisy rifle design? People I think are drawn to the beautiful sleek design but the mechanism is so puzzling to me. The Haenel 28 mechanism I can understand but how did anyone think of doing it this way? Still a bit of a mystery how the parts pull this off? Maybe if I took one apart I would understand it better but I kind of like the mystery.
