Date for Webley mk3

Hi there ,could anyone please tell me if I’m right in thinking the mk 3 I was given SN 28866 no scope rail is pre 60s ,late 50s .

Yes. Our best guess 1957-59 Should have the more rounded stock with no ribs along fore end. Serial number stamped into stock under the cylinder. If you're very lucky it may have the chequered de luxe stock.

Yes it has the sn stamped in the stock ,I was given the rifle , rusty ,low power ,stock two cracks ....
Rub over with wire wool & oil fixed the stock gave the piston and spring a polish fitted a new washer ,pft
Washers both ends of the spring ,shoots beautifully now ,about 10 ft ,I thought it was 50s thank you for that . Mark

Agreed. Almost certainly towards the earlier end of that date range. 1957 or early 58.
