    NSRA ClubFinder Relaunched

The NSRA has relaunched their clubfinder.

It only has ~170 of the NSRA's >800 affiliated clubs in it because they relied on Club Secretaries sending them information and (predictably) many didn't. So you might want to make sure your Club Secretary has chased it up.

For a more complete listing (incl. some NRA clubs, current overall count is 702), look here.

You might need to supplement that with data from Scottish Target Shooting. Our club and probably others too, is no longer affiliated with NSRA because STS is the official representative body north of the border.

Chance would be a fine thing. Sadly the STS website does not feature a Club Finder or any listings of clubs. Based on the STS website, they're more interested in selling you membership and a hoodie than helping a newcomer find their nearest club. Seems like a glaring oversight....

Without knowing which club BigEars is in, STS offer insurance to affiliated clubs from BlueFin - looks like they've cookie-cuttered a pretty similar package to the one the NSRA negotiated a few years back when they jumped ship from Perkins Slade - which for all the NSRA's foibles is the best Insurance going at the moment.

The fullbore clubs all tend to affiliate to the NRA as well - whilst the NSRA is seen as expendable (you can buy your targets from them and use their rule book without needing to affiliate ), the NRA holds the keys to the kingdom as far as Safe-Shooter cards and access to MoD ranges is concerned, so STS has no managed to muscle them out yet.

Aye, their website is about as user friendly as a cornered rat. I can pass on the club finder suggestions through our club rep.
