Sunday June 30th is the date, and Maldon & District Air Rifle Club (aka M.A.D.) is the venue for what will be the third British Air Rifle Championships (B.A.R.C.)

The format will be pretty much the same as in the 2 previous years, with the exception that this year there will be a full 40 shot Field Target course instead of the reduced 30 shot course of past events. The HFT course will be a 30 shot one, set to current UKAHFT rules. Both courses will again by set by Satan’s very own little helper, namely Mr Richard Woods, so do please bring you A game - and a box of Kleenex to wipe away your tears of despair and woe…..

This year we will not be taking payment of entry fees in advance – simply come along on the day and pay when you book in – though if you wish to pre-book and reserve yourself a place, just drop me a line/PM/etc.
1st-3rd place trophies will be presented to the 3 highest scoring shooters for both the HFT and Field Target, and an overall winner’s trophy (plus the title of British Air Rifle Champion 2019 and massive bragging rights!) will go to the competitor who amasses the highest combined percentage score from both courses.

As in previous years, there will also be a special trophy for the shooter with the highest combined percentage score using a springer or .22 rifle - and let’s be honest here, most springer and .22 shooters are indeed a little bit “special”!

Cost of entry is £12 for either the Field Target or HFT category, or £20 for both categories.

Booking in will be from 8.00am, with the mandatory safety brief at 9.45am, followed by the start of the competition at 10.00am
