Hi
Put my 601 over the chrono and over a 10 shot string with jsb rs was to me a very consistent 568fps -6/+4fps giving 5.25ft/lbs
Is this on the money or shooting a bit lower than it should?
thanks in advance

I put my 602 over the chrono and I genuinely took no note of the power as the shot to shot consistancy was more important to me as it'll never go over 12ftlbs.
But in answer to your question, there is a German guy on YouTube who rebuilt his 602 and it produced just over 6ftlbs.
All the best Mick
You will probably find a slightly higher muzzle energy with a heavier pellet, the 601's are generally used with RWS R10 for 10m target shooting, try it with them you might see 5.8-6 FtLb. JSB Exact (if you aren't paper punching) are the same weight approximately, again they may well nudge 6 FtLb but the gun was never designed to exceed the German "F" class of sub 7.5 Joule so you really can't expect that much more than you are already getting!
BSA Super10 addict, other BSA's inc GoldstarSE, Original (Diana) Mod75's, Diana Mod5, HW80's, SAM 11K... All sorted!
I was expecting it to hover somewhere around the 6ft/lb mark, just wondered if it was a little too low at 5.25, re the R10 pellets many thanks for that info was completely unaware of that. Will have a look through my pellet stock and see what I have that is 8.2gr equivalent, I know I have meisterkugeln but they are only 7gr
Many thanks for the input

^ This is part one of three, part three has the pellet tests.
My 601 puts out a 5.1 - 5.3..
Just as accurate my Original 66 has a feeble 3.5 - 3.7..
