I blame advancing years and too many distractions at the The Hollow
The positive thing from this episode, is that I've convinced the current Mrs Clogger I must attend the June Bash so that I can collect the old Beezer from Mickld wink:
At least I don't own a Venom HW80 to leave behind!

Its amazingly easily done misplacing a rifle at the bash. Another guy (no names mentioned as i'm trying to be more of a gent than Alan!!!) apparently seemed to be missing a rifle a few bashes ago. Having searched through everything I counted the gun cases/guns along the bench and discovered he had placed the gun in someone else's case identical to his own!!! Quite funny really!!!

I only pm,d you when Mick announced it on the Boinger thread ,I saw that it was a smooth bore and remembered that you had just got one.

I've been a bit quiet on here over the holiday as something happened on Sunday that I can't get out of my head, I went round Dave's for a BBQ and mentioned the state of his neighbour's garage.
Dave explained that his neighbour built the garage specially to rebuild an old car but he never got round to it and the car has sat in there untouched for the last 25 years.
Since finding out what the car is I've been seriously trying to work out what it's worth and how much it will cost to get back to new condition, I think I better call in at Retropower for a worse case scenario quote on the bodywork --- even though the car was built in 1968 most of the body panels are still made in America.

I'll let you know how I get on.
Cheers, Mick. Will make sure I quote him happy.

And a new car / project, eh?

    Hahaha!

Bet you don't do that again, Al.

But what a lovely excuse for a revisit if one were needed.

Be great to catch up again.

    Cool A Happy '99 Owner.

    Aha.

Dave collected his new '99 from me earlier.

The look on his happy little smiling face unboxing it was priceless. Talk about proud new daddy!

And he said he could tell the difference in quality, robustness and finish straight away.

I'd previously explained that I wanted to go through open sight use with him and maybe to use it on the irons before fitting the scope. And also demonstrated how accurate you can be at close range with the opens. Took him a little time but then it clicked and he'll easily be able to nail those little ratties straight in the brainbox.

And this is yet another new HW that I've tried that is gloriously twang free and lovely straight out of the box; every one that I have tried in recent times has exhibited these characteristics. Fantastic firing cycle, very benign and printing tiny, tiny groups on paper with Field Target Trophies.

A very happy bunny he was.
