By way of forewarning you all and to save me explaining countless times --- Brokeback corner will be cordoned off at the next Bash.
I'll be leaving the grass long from the end of the benches to the wind sock and also in the top right hand corner of the campsite.
I'm leaving this area rough for the UK Chinese FT competition which is just three weeks after the next Bash.
Not really, Nick.
The U.K. Chinese Forum's Oddballs Meeting takes place with Gerry and Shirley organising many competitions, an informal FT shoot being just one of them which is a good introduction to FT.
As Quigley hollow is a bit featureless Gerry had me leave the grass long at the 2017 meet to obscure the targets a bit, so when I was mowing yesterday I left the same area long for them.
I attended the UKCAF meet a couple of years ago. Attendance numbers were lower than BBS, but when you consider membership numbers for each, it was better attended than ours. The competitions were good and I enjoyed the informal FT course and you were never short of bench space (Mick had set up the usual array of targets). If you can't attend the BBS in early June and are on the UKCAF forum, get along (I think Gav' is having a double helping).
Yep, I turned up for a few hours on the Sunday and, although fairly quiet (it wasn't the main day), a thoroughly nice time was being had by all.
Sweltering hot it was, too......hurrah for the ice cream van!

Blimey, this one's approaching nice and swiftly (unlike that long, agonising wait for the April Bash through the Winter).
Just 21 little sleepies to go and so very nearlier, nearly there, peeps.

Oh my God only 3 weeks and I haven't even washed my pellets yet let alone polished them
Pete
Managed to get a bit of time to myself this afternoon, so took a look at the problematic 30, after a bit of a faff it became clear that only the forward trigger guard screws affected the ability to cock the gun. So it works as long as that screw is done up moderately. So Mel can get back to zeroing tomorrow.
Then I got out my original 45 as it was it's turn out into the daylight for a small session. Forgot how much fun it is, opens only, managed a bit of collateral damage 😲 so put it away before the boss got home. 😁 Great fun.
Well under three weeks for you, Mikey Boy.
This time in three weeks' time you'll be enjoying your third night under the starry Quigley Hollow skies.
