Webley Service Breach Seal
Hello
I am trying to replace the breach seal on a first series Webley Service.
I have bought two from Mr. T R Robb but they are too small. As suggested by his website, they are also not very pliable
I bought from Mr. J Knibbs. The same issue – too small and a very hard material.
His website item picture suggests he supplies a leather / fiber item.
I have contacted Mr. Knibbs but have had no reply.
No surprise there then.
Can anyone recommend a supplier of a breach seal that will fit and/or of a pliable material?
Thank You
Nick

Hi Sam,when you say too small, do you mean the inside or outside diameter,or the depth?.
You could always ask a local shoe repair shop if they have the gear needed to cut one,Timpsons,or Pioneer in Faulkner Street for example.

Helo,
I waiting to see what happens with my ask , and failing that , your suggestion is my next port of call.
Thanks,
Sam

There's a man in Cheshire that sold some made by his Dad. Got the metal insert and looks the part.
I bought a couple and may have a spare. Will have a look tomorrow.
Have used slice off synthetic rubber hose with good effect.

If any use ... I replaced the breech seal on a Series II with a red fibre washer. I may have had to enlarge the hole a bit, can't remember exactly, but it has worked fine for quite a while now ...
Cheers, Phil
