Years ago (over 10) when I have been clay shooting at http://www.dartfordclayshootingclub.com/ I had taken my air rifle a couple of times and put out a couple of targets to have a practice on. You could give them a call and see if they will let you . Otherwise give https://www.johnforsey.co.uk/ in Welling a call they may know.
There used to be one near Swanley and did a search ,there is some info here

Links wouldn't post , so Google
    air rifle club Swanley
You should get a few clubs come up

Be aware that carrying airguns is against the terms of use of most public transport.

You have St Nicholas RPC in Chiselhurst. They have great facilities and cater for smallbore and FT/HFT.

    http://www.snrpc.org.uk/index.html

Also have a look at the kent smallbore association (website currently down) to see other clubs that might be in the are.

Also there are a few in croydon area, list from the Surrey Smallbore Assoc

    http://www.surreysbra.org/documents_clublist

Addiscombe won't be too far from you.

Hopefully there might be members living near you and can give you a lift. Or lodge a rifle at the club to save you taking it on public transport. Or carry it in a guitar case

Not quite sure what they offer for air guns, but the web site does suggest something other than just 6m and 10m paper punching ....... Ham & Petersham club is probably your closest.

    It's on the map here

Doesn't help much if there's a problem accessing public transport.

Long gone (I guess) are the days when as a 14 year old, I went by train from Surrey to Bisley to buy an Original Model 50 rifle from Fulton's, and took the train home. BUT .. that was 50 years ago

I doubt it. Or they wouldn't be able to take new members.

I knew someone who shot there when I was based in Surrey and he said what good facilities they have.

All the FT/HFT will be shot with sub 12 ft/lbs or the metal wouldn't last long

    Good luck, and happy shooting.

Bugger, just saw the bit about closed membership. It might well be worth a call and plead your case, especially if you are shooting an air rifle which won't need the training that shooting rimfire would.

No worries. Most cab firms are ok with you putting a gun (in slip) in the boot, I always ask control first and it's never been a problem so far. Maybe something to think about.
An often forgotten bit of legislation is that you shouldn't travel with a loaded magazine, even if it's not in the gun, so be mindful of that too.
    Good deals with these members
