Hi All,
l have recently purchased an early HW90 in .177cal which according to the serial numbers database was built in 1993.
It has shown to be extremely accurate but unfortunately it has a slow leak. l acquired the parts to pump it up and l got it shooting nicley with 10.3gr Barracuda's at around 820 ft/s but then it lost power after a few days.
l have ordered a heap of parts to rebuild it from Chambers, including a new .22 cal carbine length barrel. I'm located in Australia so it's already considered a firearm so l might as well make the most of the power potential.
l was looking at other parts l may need and l noticed that the early versions have a different dummy piston.
The thread that the Schrader valve screws in has seen better days and l'm not sure if it will need to be replaced, however it appears that none of the places l've looked at has the early dummy pistons in stock.
Does anyone know what the difference between the early versions and the new versions of the dummy piston are?
Is it possible to modify a late dummy piston to fit?
Are there any other differences between early and late HW90's?
Regards
George
