    Don't start me again!!

The same reason there are match rifles that some "expert" has fitted a stronger spring in, or bumped up the regulator if its newer, its because there are people out there who want to turn classic items into some thing they are not!

I have a spare rearsight for a 300S, Peter, the only problem is that the star on windage adjustment is damaged.

J S Ramsbottoms were selling off cheap Gamo diopters about a month ago, so it may be worth asking them if they have any left in order to get the old girl up and running.

NSRA shop at Bisley has got the cheapo Gamo rear diopter sights, I think they are £25 each.

I can't find them listed, but at £25 it would be worth me buying one to see if the windage adjustment would graft into my spare Feinwerkbau sight.

Another supplier of an appropriate sight is Ant supplies at £39 for an AirArms rear diopter.
