Airgun spares are they worth anything?

    Hi all.

A pal of mine has aquired a shop in Burnley that used to be Harry Mac's in Parliament street. There was a pile of old stocks, barrels and cylinders and airgun spares, cocking levers, sears, springs, triggers, trigger springs, pistons, piston washers, foresight hoods etc.etc. Some are marked with BSA part numbers some marked webley.

Are these of interest to a collector/restorer? What would they be worth?

I know It's a lot to ask to ask the knowledgable among you to have a stab sight unseen but if there's any interest I'll take some photos and e-mail to any interested party.

    Cheers

    John.

I think you are about to become quite popular John!

There are plenty on here who have older rifles, a list or pics would be most useful.

They're likely to have more worth if they're old parts - John Knibbs charges a pretty penny for old BSA/Webley parts that are no longer avalable from the manufacturer.

I think photos would be a good idea - sure there's enough knowledge on this site to ID most of the parts. Mr Knibbs' book might provide a useful price guide as well

With your location down as "England" it would be impossible for anyone to know if they are near enough to give you any assistance in this matter.

Thanks chaps. it will take me a week to catalogue just the ones that are identified let alone the ones that aren't but id theres enough interest I'll do it. Apologies Barry, I'm in Burnley Lancashire, perhaps a bit too far for you to "pop up" for a look but thanks anyway.

    Regards

If any of it turns out to be for a Webley MKIII please let me know. I would be very interested (along with quite a few others no doubt ).

am going to Johns tomorrow for a look . will take a camera and a notepad then if we get stuck you guys will have visual clues and a desription to work off.

Just as info, Harry Mack's was a well known fishing tackle shop and also one time firearm dealers if memory serves. I got my very first air rifle from the shop . ABSA meteor.

I can't be anywhere near 100% certain but pg2 top look like Webley MKIII cocking levers.
Pg 6 top left looks like a MKIII piston but most pistons look the same to me until it comes to fitting them
Pg 7 middle right appears to be a rear sight from a Webley MkIII.

Page 1/Top looks like Webley Mk.3 Tap lever.
    Page 2/Top " " " " Cocking levers.
Page 6 Piston Looks to be BSA
Page 7 Gate type adjustable rear sight blade could be for several different sights, either Webley or pre war BSA.
